Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for design, development, and support activities for the controls used to operate robotics and associated equipment
- Support all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery
- Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC and PC- based hardware and software.
- Follow engineering release and revision control procedures; maintain design, standardization and configuration history of shipped machinery.
- Use computer assisted engineering and design software to develop electrical diagrams, panel layouts, bills of material and related documentation.
- Understands and follow recognized codes and standards (NFPA, NED, CE, UL, ETL)
- Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to assigned projects
- Coordiante development activities and upgrades related to updating and improving machine functionality
- Proved support customers, customer service, training department and sales
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
- BS in technical field, plus at least 2 years of experience in field or related area
- Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures used in automated machinery

PD3154 - CNC Manufacturing Engineer
Direct Position
Location: St. Paul, MN

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages new projects from concept through development of proven manufacturing processes
- Works with customers on technical related questions/issues
- Leads problem solving teams in addressing manufacturing issues and/or cost savings opportunities
- Works with other department personnel and Estimating during the quotation of new projects
- Stay abreast of new technologies in machining and proposes evaluation of them as pertinent
- Evaluate machine/software requirements for new jobs and propose cost effective solutions
- Oversees development of any necessary secondary fixturing/tooling
- Assist in establishing and monitoring standards for CNC machining; works on continuous improvement to existing parts relative to throughput and/or quality
- Assist in establishing efficient and effective inspection criteria and methods
- As required, utilize MRP system to schedule, monitor, and report on daily production activities
- Investigate and, where appropriate, develop automation solutions to increase equipment utilization
- Interacts with customers, suppliers, and coworkers in a professional manner
- Follows safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual
- Assists in training of machining personnel
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: 2-4 year degree in CNC machining or Engineering
- Related Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a production CNC environment
JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong skills in: Project Management, verbal and written communication, problem solving
- Thorough technical knowledge of close tolerance CNC machining and inspection techniques; desirable to have experience in Swiss turning, 3 axis production machining, EDM (wire and sinker)
- Prefer experience with Titanium, Stainless Steel, Platinum, MP35N
- Strong computer skills, including: MS Office, MS Project, general MRP systems, flow charting, 3D CAD systems (ProE, Solidworks, etc.), Adobe Acrobat
